Important Grant Information

Hello Student Chapters,

Greetings from the ACS Undergraduate Programs Office.  As you may or may not be aware, we’d like to give you money to do the things you like to do.

Assistance to travel to a National Meeting?

Do demos for diverse groups of elementary school students?

Not a problem.

Come up with a wacky new idea, like an inter-chapter laser tag event or a new safety video for your chemistry department?

We’ve got you covered.

But…you’ve got to hurry.  The National Meeting Travel Grant application is due Tuesday, January 22.  That’s this coming Tuesday.

And the Community Interaction Grant and the Innovative Activity Grant applications are due March 21.  That’s really soon.  And they require proposals, so you’ve got to get to work on those.

Leave any questions in the comments section.  And we look forward to receiving your proposals!

And just to give you some inspiration, here are some pictures from the Texas Christian University ACS Student Chapter, who used their CIG grant to put on an event at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.  Thanks, Horned Frogs, and keep up the great work!
